About MSC Malaysia APICTA
The MSC Malaysia Asia Pacific ICT Awards (MSC Malaysia APICTA), under the patronage of the Prime Minister of Malaysia, provides a platform to stimulate creativity, innovation and excellence in ICT in Malaysia, benchmark Malaysian ICT products and solutions, and to recognise outstanding achievements in ICT of students, technopreneurs, SMEs and organisations with operations in Malaysia.
This annual Awards Programme initiated in 1999 by the Multimedia Development Corporation, has evolved from being known as the Asia Pacific MSC IT & Telecommunications Awards (APMITTA) to MSC-Asia Pacific ICT Awards (MSC-APICTA) in 2002 when the international Awards Programme, APICTA, was launched. In line with the rebranding of the MSC (Multimedia Super Corridor) to MSC Malaysia in 2006 to reflect the MSC as a national ICT initiative, the Awards Programme is now known as MSC Malaysia APICTA.
The Awards Programme also provides a unique opportunity and ideal environment for individuals and companies to gain local, regional and international exposure through on-going promotional activities.
The Awards Programme is organised annually. Please visit our international website at www.mscapicta.com.my for more information.

The Asia Pacific ICT Awards (APICTA) is an international awards program which aims to increase ICT awareness in the community and assist in bridging the digital divide. Participants of the awards program comprise members of the APICTA Alliance. They are guided by the Framework of Cooperation identifying how member-economies can work together in support of the Awards Program as well as other programs that foster development and growth of the ICT industry in the region. APICTA’s 16 member-economies include Australia, Brunei, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Korea, Macau, Malaysia, Myanmar, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Vietnam. More information about the APICTA member economies is available here.
APICTA member-economies take turns in hosting the annual Awards Program, which is won through a bidding process. Past APICTA Awards have been held in:
